John Michael Olson, 67, of Deland, FL died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his residence.  He was born August 18, 1948 in Los Angeles California the son of Kenneth Reel and Martha Alice (nee Rappe) Olson.  He served in the U S Navy during the Vietnam War.He came to Florida from Michigan in 1971.  He worked as a carpenter and builder in the construction industry.  He is survived by one sister, Linda Olson of Clarkstone, MI; one brother, Kenneth M. Olson of Flint, MI; and by his former wife and her husband, Janice and Fred Hanstine and by his loving cat, Reba.
