John Wesley Osterbeck Sr., 70, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2016.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 28, 1946 to two loving parents Frederick and Dorothy Osterbeck.   He grew up to be a very professional young man and proudly joined the Marines.  After leaving the Marines he did spend a short time in college but was much prouder at the fact that he was now a Police officer in Detroit.  He would retire from the police department after many years of great service to the community.  He is survived by his loving wife Brenda; 2 daughters, Carla Renee(Shawn) Osterbeck of Maysville, North Carolina and Tracey (Josh) Osterbeck Waller of Las Vegas, NV; 3 sons, John Wesley Osterbeck Jr., of Roseville, MI, Brian Christopher (VerDawn) Horne of Las Vegas, NV and Paul Franklin (Rachelle) Osterbeck of Ira Township, MI.  He is also survived by a brother Frederick William (Mary Ann) Osterbeck of East China, MI and 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  He was a wonderful man who was loved and will be missed by many.  Services will be held privately Monday, January 2, 2017 at 11 am.
