John L. “Jack” Provost, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. Born on November 26, 1934, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Jack lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his community.

In the mid-1950s, Jack proudly served in the United States Navy for three years. During this time, he met the love of his life, Geneva (Lavern) Provost, whom he later married. Together they built a loving family and shared many happy years of marriage.

Jack enjoyed a long and successful career, working for General Electric, Bendix, Boeing, and ultimately at Kennedy Space Center, where he spent many years before retiring.

After retirement, Jack and Geneva embraced their love of travel, spending time RVing and exploring new places together. They eventually settled into a small lake home, where they created many cherished memories. Jack especially enjoyed playing bingo several times a week and valued the friendships and social connections he made there.

Known for his kindness, generosity, and deep patriotism, Jack supported numerous charitable organizations throughout his life. 

Jack is survived by Patricia, John Jr., Cheryl, and Joanne; and by his beloved great-grandsons, Michael and Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geneva (Lavern) Provost.

Jack's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
