John Kurt Schierle – May 5, 1958 – April 17, 2022

Loving brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend

John Kurt Schierle, 63, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Little Falls, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Hope Hospice House, Fort Meyers, FL.

He was born in Irvington, NJ, to Helen Schierle. His mother died when he was a young child and he was adopted by her sister Joyce, and brother-in-law, Charles, and was included as a beloved member of their young family. He joined the Navy at 18 and was stationed as a cook on a submarine. He returned home to do various jobs including painting and construction. Before retiring, he was a hot dog vendor in Newark. He was happily married to Fran (Kuziora) for 21 years until her passing in 2019.

He is survived by his dog, Bo, his sisters, Maryellen Boyle (Thomas) and Cathy Kaiser (Robert), cherished nieces, Laura Boyle and Jordan Kaiser, aunts and uncles, Susan Dempsey (Glenn), Peggy Bridges (John), Judy Farrelly, and David Carlson, as well as many loving cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Fran, his parents, Helen Schierle and Joyce and Charles Muscara, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

His family will be honoring his last wishes to be cremated and scattered in the Gulf
