John Edward Srodek, 89, of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully with family at his side on March 5th. He was born on July 24, 1930 in Republic, PA to the late Michael and Nellie Srodek. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Helen Ann Srodek; son, Kenneth Srodek; stepsons, Barry (Bonnie) Smith and Randy (Patricia Botero) Smith; stepdaughter, Sherry Prebor; sisters, Millicent White and Veronica Brown, Mary (Robert) Lafler; brother, Robert (Carolyn) Srodek; sister-in-law, Delores Srodek; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He served in the Air Force, retired from AT&T and volunteered at The Villages VA. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 24th at 11AM at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland, FL. In lieu of flowers please donate to Hospice or your favorite charity.
