John W. Stastyshyn passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born on June 21, 1947, John grew up in Maine, NY and attended Buffalo State College.

He is survived by his wife Diane of 47 years. Beloved father of Jennifer, Matthew (Lisa) and Daniel (Laura) Stastyshyn.  Cherished Grandpa (Bapa) to Joshua, Allison, Kristina, Jack, Emily and Jay, Great Bapa to Ananias.

Mr. Stysh was a dedicated teacher and coach at Newfane Central School near Buffalo, NY.  During his 35 years of teaching, he also began a construction company– J & J Home Improvement.  His likeable personality enabled him to build relationships with his students and the community. John was a practical man, who worked hard to provide for his family.  We all love to reflect on his dry sense of humor and many John-isms.

During his 18 years in The Villages John enjoyed softball, pickleball, and golf.  He carded 2 hole in ones through the years.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2025, 11 am – 1 pm at the Baldwin Funeral Home, 3990 FL 44 #105, Wildwood, FL 34785.  Flowers are gratefully declined.
