John
Tellier
July 11, 1933 – June 19, 2025
John V. Tellier, a longtime resident of Dracut MA, died on June 19 th , 2025 in Englewood FL, just a few weeks shy of his 92 nd birthday.
John is survived by his wife, Nancy Tellier, his sons John and William Tellier, James Parkhurst and daughter Peggy Frangos. John was pre-deceased by his beloved daughter Mary Jo Staib. John also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Raised in a family of 10 children by the late Phillipe and Emilianna (Gagnon) Tellier, John's siblings included brothers Robert and Richard Tellier and sisters Lucille Bourassa, Jeannette Therriault, Anita Matte, Mariette Marhefka, Jeanne Midgley, Therese Perin and Rachel Ferris.
John worked in his family's grocery market in Lowell MA from an early age. Hard work, loyalty and family values were at the core of John's character. With John, his actions and support to others always counted more than his words.
Following his US Navy service during the Korean war, John worked for over 35 years at the GE Wire and Cable plant in Lowell, MA. He ended his working career as a Maintenance supervisor at Christian Hill Nursing Home and the Woodbriar Health Center.
John was also a resident of Meredith, NH for many years where he had built a vacation home on Lake Winnipesaukee. His love of boating, skiing and family gatherings served as the focal point for many years of enjoyment for family and friends. John also enjoyed taking cruises, bowling, horseshoes and corn hole games.
In recent years, John and Nancy spent many winters in FL where they built a home that allowed them to enjoy the beach, pool parties with neighbors, spring training baseball and a well-earned retirement after many years of hard work.
John's kind spirit and can-do attitude serves as an exemplary model for all he leaves behind.
A funeral mass at St. Marguerite D'Youville Church in Dracut, MA will be held on July 18 th at 10am followed by burial ceremony in Chelmsford, MA at St. Joseph's cemetery.
