John Patrick Torpey of Apopka, FL. passed away at his home in Apopka, FL on Friday, March 9,2012. He was born in Scottsville, N.Y. to John and Florence (Feeley) Torpey.   He leaves his devoted and loving wife, Carol Conway, brother Bernard (Darlene) Kiel and sister Monica (predeceased); children Sheila (Martin) Schetrompf, Molly (William) Bach and Michael Torpey; grandchildren Sophia, Parthena, Georgiana, Anastasia, Gregory, Jeffery, eight great grandchildren and extended family Mark and Grace Blake, Chase, Carl and Vera Chona and Carl.   John worked as Superintendent of Sanitation for the cities of Titusville, Clearwater and Deerfield Beach, Florida. He later served as City Commissioner and Mayor of Lady Lake, FL. Before he retired, John worked at Montgomery Ward and Uptons retail stores.   Condolences may be sent to www.BaldwinCremation.com.
