John Arnn Venis, age 79 of NSB, FL passed away peacefully at Halifax Health Hospice at 11:05pm on Sunday February 16, 2020.  He was a veteran of Vietnam and later worked at The Bureau of National Affairs.  He is survived by his son Michael, granddaughter Crystal, and great granddaughter Amber.  He is predeceased by his parents Louis and Willie and brothers: Billy Joe, Bobby and Louis.  He had a special place in his heart for his dog Quan Yin.

He moved to Florida for retirement and became a part of the Pelican community where he had many friends.  He was also close with his brother Bobby, his wife and their children.

He collected Asian art and books, and was a cruciverbalist (crossword hobbyist).  He enjoyed family gatherings, watching the ocean from his balcony and going out for dinner with friends.  He was a lovely man with an infectious smile and was loved by all who knew him.

Donations in lieu of flowers will go to his favorite charity St Joseph's Indian School.
