John C. Yazurlo, 78, of Flagler Beach died peacefully at home after a long illness.  Originally, from Old Forge, PA he was a graduate of Penn State University and a member of the Penn State Club.  In 1986 John retired as Director Inspector General of the Department of Education.  In the mid 90's, he retired as Finance Director of Daytona Beach Shores.  John is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Charlene; two children, Lory and Leslie; five grandchildren, Joey, heather, Wesley, Lisa, Eric; three great grandchildren, Nate, Xavier and Kahliyah and sister, Elsie Carey of Ohio.  His great grandson Nate remarked "Papa John is looking down on us now".  Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
