Jon A. Gastil, 79, of the Villages entered into rest on December 27, 2015. He was the son of Alan and Frances (Heck) Gastil and was born in Newark, Ohio.

Jon served in both the Navy and the Air Force. He later became a quality control engineer in the aeronautics field.

Jon was a 50 year member of the Masons and he attended a local Presbyterian Church.

In his free time, Jon enjoyed Golfing, woodworking, carving, Scioto Sports Car Club member, and was a huge Ohio State Fan.

Jon is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; daughter, Heather; sisters, Pattie Gastil and Betty Shepherd; nieces,  Lisa Lauginger, Linda Darfus, Debbie Heit, Cindy Goes; nephews, Bobby and Mark Shepherd.

He is predeceased by his uncle, Alan Heck.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 25th, 2016, 10 am at Forrest Lawn Funeral Home and Memory Garden.
