Jon Allen Jackson, 74, of Ft. Myers, FL passed away on May 16, 2020 at Lee Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 21, 1945 in Detroit, MI to the late William C. Jackson and Mary C. ( Chmielewski ) Jackson. Jon grew up in Union Lake, MI, and was a star athlete at Milford High School. He then worked as a Paramedic and a Fireman at the Deerfield Beach Fire Department where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant. Jon is survived by his daughter, Toni Krantz and her husband Lon of San Diego, CA; his sister, Nanci Hatt and her husband Steve; his grandchildren, Ryan Cooley, Ty Farmer, Mackenze Farmer, Amanda Jackson, and Jonathon Jackson; his great grandchildren, Jonathon, Ilana, Harley, and Hendrix; and his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Van Saun, Kristi Gunn, and Brian Wenzlick. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Jackson and Mary C. ( Chmielewski ) Jackson; his son, Jon W. Jackson; and his 2 brothers, William and Lawrence. Jon loved his family and would do anything for anybody. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Jon to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
