Jon L. Yates, age 65, of Edgewater, Florida, formerly from Manson, Iowa, passed away on October 17, 2022. Born in Fortdodge, Iowa to Bonna and Lloyd Yates, the Yates family relocated to Florida in 1977.

Jon a Project Manager by trade, was a Nascar Fan and enjoyed many Sundays watching the sport with his Grandson Brett. He also loved offshore fishing and spent lots of time on the water. When not watching Nascar or fishing Jon enjoyed riding his Harley with, his wife, Laurie and you would often find them at many of the bike events. If you knew Jon you knew he made a mean Margarita! God Speed Jonny enjoy endless Margaritas while watching Nascar and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife Laura (Laurie) Yates of Edgewater, Florida, Daughter Brooke Yates of Daytona Beach, Stepsons AJ (Aimee) Remensnyder, of Edgewater, Florida and Erik Remensnyder of Las Vegas, Nevada, Grandsons Brett and Delcan, of Edgewater, Florida, Granddaughters Juleah and Ali of Coral Springs, Florida, Sister Lynne (Van) Vanselow of Daytona Beach, Florida, Sister Julie Yates of Tampa, Florida, Brother Dale Yates and Sister Susie Atwood, Father In Law, Frank Steinmetz, of Edgewater, Florida, Brother and Sister in Law Frankie and Lori Steinmetz of Edgewater, Florida and Sister in Law Debra Banbury of Tucson, Arizona.

Jon is preceded in death by his parents, Bonna Yates and Lloyd Yates.

Gathering of family and friends will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Yates residence.
