Joseph Edward Bolte passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at his home in The Villages, Florida, after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer.

Joe was born and raised in Erlanger, Kentucky. He retired from BlueStar Inc. in 2016 and, in retirement, split his time between his homes in The Villages and Lake Waynoka.

Joe loved to tinker and was always working on a project. He enjoyed giving advice and explaining how things worked to anyone willing to listen. In retirement, he spent his time playing golf, competing in air rifle meets, flying RC planes, and riding his Honda Valkyrie.

Joe is survived by his wife Elaine; his children Melissa Lameier, Craig Bolte, and Sarah Gonzalez; his seven grandchildren; and his brother Steven Bolte.

A celebration of life will be held on May 21, 2026 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Villa Hills Civic Club in Villa Hills, Kentucky. In memory of Joe, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
