Joseph Thomas Hines, 85, of Ocala Florida passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut to Joseph and Anna Hines, now deceased.  Joseph worked as a financial planner, and he earned his MBA from New York University in 1961. He was an accomplished softball pitcher in New Haven, Connecticut during his early 20's, and he and his wife raised their children in Parsippany, NJ from the 1970s until they moved to Ocala, FL in 2006. He attended Queen of Peace Catholic Community in Ocala, Florida, and he was also an avid golfer, sports fan and horse racing enthusiast. Joseph is survived by his wife, Monika Hines, his son Kevin Hines and wife Sandra, daughter Denise Hines Kelleher and  husband Matthew, grandchildren; Thomas Hines, Julia Hines, Catherine Kelleher, and Jacqueline Kelleher, brother Edward Hines and his wife Judith, and sister Anne  Kellaher and her spouse Richard . Joseph will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in New Haven, Connecticut. No local services are scheduled, memorials can be made to Saint Jude's or Catholic charities.
