Joseph "Joe" Crabb Jr, known lovingly as Papa to all who knew him, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 8, 2026. This was the birthday of his late wife of 73 years, Betty, who passed away last year. He was 95 years old.

Joe was born on March 10, 1931 in Shawnee, OK where he lived during his elementary school years. His family later moved to Miami, FL where he graduated high school while playing football and playing 1 yr with Oklahoma college football squad. He then married Betty and joined the Naval Reserve while working for the phone company. He dedicated his life to God, family and others throughout his long and meaningful career as a phone company technician, Sunday school leader, and in the way he cared for his family and friends.

He and his beloved wife Betty "Mema" Crabb, built a beautiful life together raising their four children, Debbie, Donna, Joe, and Mary Jane, in Miami before later settling in the Orlando and Umatilla areas.

Papa's love knew no bounds and his family was his greatest joy. He is survived by 43 cherished family members with 2 on the way including his children and their spouses, grandchildren and their spouses and great-grandchildren. He found joy in working on house projects, fishing, and—above all—his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and serving Him.

Papa's love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. While we grieve his absence, we take comfort in knowing he has found eternal peace and joy with the Lord.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date where family and friends will gather to honor the incredible man that he was.
