Joseph Kent Koeval, 75, of Dunnellon passed away August 25, 2016.  Born in McKeesport, PA he came to this area in 1988 from Miami.  Kent was a retired City of Miami Police Officer, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and later was a realtor in the Dunnellon area.  He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra; daughters, Jennifer Wood (Christian) of San Jose, CA and Roseann Sparano (James) and their daughter Grace of Chapel Hill, NC; sister, Laurel Bird (Ronald) of Ft. White, FL.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Donald and Roger Koeval.  A Celebration of Kent's Life will be held at the Rainbow Springs Village Church (20222 SW 102nd St. Rd.
