New Smyrna Beach F.L., Joseph John Lynch, 88, died Saturday April 25, 2020 at Advent Health New Smyrna Beach.

Joseph (Joe) was preceded in death by his wife Eileen Lynch and son Michael. He is survived by his four children, Debbie, Joseph, Diane, and Maureen, as well as five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Joe was born and raised in Ozone Park, New York, along with his nine siblings. Joe served in the United States Navy for four years as an aviation electronics technician during the Korean War, after which he married Eileen and moved to Floral Park, New York. There, they raised a family while Joe worked for the New York Telephone Company, until retiring in 1993 and moving to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, to enjoy the relaxed seaside atmosphere. Joe was active through his later years, and enjoyed the beach, body surfing, golfing, gardening, and traveling. He loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
