Joseph (Joe) Carl Ruggiero, 89 of The Villages FL passed away peacefully with his beloved family by his side on January 18, 2016.

Joe was born and raised in Somerville MA and served in the US Navy During WWII.  He was a cabinet maker by trade and loved to spend time woodworking when he was not on the golf course.

He was a loving and dedicated husband and father who since 1989 enjoyed being retired  with his beloved wife Nancy at The Villages.

Joe was a member of the Somerville American Legion Post 388 and the Parkinson's Fight Club at The Villages.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Nancy A (Gagliard) Ruggiero, a loving daughter Frances Maxner and her husband Gary.

He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Clara (Colucci) Ruggiero and his brother Philip Ruggiero.

A funeral Mass will be held Thursday February 4, 2016 8:30am at St. Timothy's Church 1351 Paige Place, The Villages Florida, burial will be private.
