Joseph Whitehill, 88, passed away on November 12, 2025, in Winter Park, Florida. He will be interred in Ada, Oklahoma. Born on July 18, 1937, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, he lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and commitment to his work.
Joseph proudly served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959 aboard the U.S.S. Gunston Hall.
Following his military service, Joseph embarked on a successful career with I.B.M., where he contributed to the development of business machines during a pivotal era of technological advancement. His work ethic and technical acumen earned him respect among colleagues and helped shape innovations that supported businesses across the country.
Joseph was known as a good provider and a hard worker—traits that were deeply appreciated by those closest to him. He was also remembered as a loving husband and a good friend, offering steady support and kindness throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Whitehill; his children Joetta Whitehill, Leora Whitehill, and Ben Whitehill; his daughter-in-law Rainy Whitehill; and his grandchildren Brice Whitehill, Taylor Whitehill, and Aiden Whitehill. Each of them carries forward memories of Joseph's strength, generosity, and enduring love.
Joseph was preceded in death by his first wife Katie Whitehill; his parents A. Leona and Benjamin Whitehill; and his sister Margaret Whitehill.
His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched with his steadfast presence. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
