John is survived by his loving wife, Gladys, his children Eric ((Alessandra), granddaughters; Sofia, Olivia and Mila) and Melissa (grandchildren; James (Theresa), Jourdan (Chase) and great-granddaughter, Presley). Step-daughter Wendy ((Jeff), grandchildren; Zoe, Camille, and Henry).

Born January 15, 1942 in Puerto Rico, to parents Juan and Juanita and raised in Brooklyn, NY. John proudly served the USAF in Iceland. Afterwards, he began his career as a mechanic for American Airlines at JFK, San Juan International, and finally, Miami International airports. He retired as Crew Chief after 35 successful years. John was a loving father and gentle grandpa who delighted in bringing home surprise desserts and relished calling his son, Eric for advice with his tech gadgets. He was dedicated to the NY Yankees, playing golf with his grandson, Kenova Boys Club and The Village Senior Games. His Hole-in-One certificate attests to his skill. Family and friends remember his quiet and complete devotion to his wife Gladys.

Memorial service is June 11th at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Home Reception will follow at 965 Kingmont Terrace. Our family is eternally grateful for Pastor Mike (and Dee) and Gladys' sister; Mildred, whose loving support enabled Gladys to dedicate herself to John through his declining health.
