Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Anita and Wilmer Shumaker.

Judd was a member of the St. Pius X High School Class of 1988, pursing additional coursework in Psychology. An avid car collector and enthusiast, Judd was often seen around town singing along to his beloved country music or cooking for family and friends. He was most at peace when on the water, often boating, shrimping, fishing or anything that allowed for a bit of sea spray. Ever full of a playful spirit, Judd also found time for remote control cars, planes, and drones. Most of all, though, Judd was a devoted son to his mother, Anita.

Judd was preceded in death by his brother, John W. Shumaker (wife, Elizabeth (Murphy) Shumaker Lightcap). Surviving are his sister, Jacquelyn L Shumaker and wife, Jennifer Freese; niece, Avery E. (Shumaker) Picardi and husband, Alec Picardi; and aunt, Cindy L. Crisp. In addition to his family, Judd is survived by his companion, Brenda L. Viruet and her two daughters, Michelle Dingui and Johanna Rivera; and his former wife, Patricia Shumaker, and her sons, Bruce and Adam Moyer.

The family will hold a private celebration of Judd's life in the near future and request that any memorial contributions are made to your local SPCA.
