Judith Whittington Daves 1940-2018

Judy Daves died on Tuesday January 9th losing her third and final battle with cancer.

Judy was born in Ozark, Missouri and grew up in Missouri and Kansas throughout her childhood. She attended Coffeeville Community College in Coffeeville, Kansas where she met her husband, Joe Daves. Eventually the two settled in Tennessee where Judy began her career at South Central Bell/ BellSouth as a telephone operator and worked her way up to regional manager in the thirty years with the company.

Judy and Joe decided to retire at 60 and moved to The Villages seventeen years ago. In retirement, she enjoyed book clubs, playing golf, playing bridge, and her outings with "the girls".

She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Joseph Daves (1939-2004). She is survived by her son, Jeff Daves and his wife, Kim Daves; her daughter, Jill Daves and her husband, Noah Young; and one granddaughter, Ella Young.She will be greatly missed."
