Judith Mae (Brenner) Dugan, also known as Judy or Nana, passed away peacefully at home in The Villages, Florida, on August 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Judy was born in Wooster, Ohio, on October 17, 1938, to her parents Laurita and Glen Brenner. Judy was raised and nurtured along with her sister Sue Ann (Bob) Landis. Judy graduated from Wooster High School in 1956 and attended Ashland University. She met her husband Roy Dugan in 7th grade. While he was in the Air Force in California, he married and divorced, so Judy was blessed with two great stepchildren.

Her career began in banking at Wayne County National Bank and also Bank of America at the corner of Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood, CA. Roy and Judy married on June 8, 1962. Roy and Judy lived in Olmsted Falls, Ohio where they started and operated Dugan’s Garden Center for 36 years. Upon retirement, Roy and Judy took a 35-day vacation to Alaska which was one of their most treasured adventures. Judy also thoroughly enjoyed all of her adventures with her grandchildren. They moved to The Villages in 2003 where they took up the sport of golf – having great fun with neighbors and friends. In 2004, they became members of the New Covenant United Methodist Church where she was on the counting team for 20 years. The Church was where Judy met many of her dear friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband Roy of 64-years, her sister Sue Ann Landis of Palm City, FL, her stepson James Dugan and his partner Cara of Chico, CA, her stepdaughter Sandra (Bill) Digman of Summerville, SC, and her grandchildren Christopher Mastic, Jennifer Moore, Ashley (Jim) Horn, Nicholas Dugan, Jacqueline Dugan, and Rachel (Jake) Serrao, her great grandchildren Tristan and Theodore Horn and Kallan Mastic. Judy is predeceased by her parents Laurita and Glen Brenner, her brother-in-law Bob Landis, and her nephew Kyle Lee Landis.

Judy enjoyed any game involving cards and strategy. She belonged to numerous Mahjong Clubs. When she wasn’t playing games, she volunteered at her church. She loved animals, including her dogs Frosty, Misty, and Candy – her American Eskimos. She also adored her Ragdoll cats Faith and Hope. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and a true Buckeye. When visiting Judy, you could always count on a chocolate dessert to follow the entertainment.

Judy will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and community.

In lieu of services, Judy would like the memory of her to be a happy one. One of laughing times. “Miss me, but let me go, remember to live, love, and laugh.” Her favorite bible scriptures were Psalm 100, Roman 5:1-11, Colossians 3:12-17, and Philippians 4:4-8. Judy will be interred at her family plot at the Wooster Cemetery in Wooster, Ohio.
