JUDITH ANN (GRAY) LEBEL

MAY 12, 1945-NOVEMBER 2, 2017

Judith "Judi" Ann (Gray) LeBel, 72, of Port Orange, Florida, died November 2, 2017, after a brief battle with Lung Cancer.

Judi was born May 12, 1945, in Delaware, Ohio, to Betty Jane (Rodgers) and George Burdette Gray of Ostrander, Ohio. Judi was the second of five children and was known for her dimples, vivacious personality and wonderful sense of humor. She lit up and energized any room she entered because of the vibrant, warm and loving soul she was.  In 1963, she graduated as valedictorian of Scioto Valley High School, Ostrander, OH, where she excelled in music. She played brass instruments, primarily the French horn, and sang in a cappella quartet. She was known for her cooking talents and played softball in church leagues. Early in the computer era, she trained employees on software programs. Judi worked for more than 20 years at AT&T in Jacksonville, Florida. She loved her two Chihuahua dogs, Molly and Harry.

Judi is survived by three daughters, Shannon (Brian) Crowe of Jacksonville, Florida, Laura (William) Jackson of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Debra Hammond of Westerville, Ohio; two brothers, James (Sherry) Gray of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Michael (York) Gray of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Patricia Gray of Daytona Beach, Florida; nine grandsons; three granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; an aunt, Winnie (Bob) Orahood of Delaware, Ohio; a special cousin, Shirley (Roger) VanSickle; other cousins; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nephews. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death. A Celebration of Life was held November 5, 2017, at the Community Center at La Costa Village, Port Orange, FL.
