Judith Ann Mieloch, 78, of Novi Michigan, passed away on September 16th in Fort Myers Florida, where she had resided the past 4 years.

Judith, born on July 2nd, 1943 to Angeline and Arthur Mieloch in Bay City Michigan, was their only daughter. She grew up with 4 brothers and often spent time with many of her cousins.

She earned a degree in engineering from Wayne State University and often was one of very few women in her field over the years.  Straight out of college she worked for the gas company in downtown Detroit and then later accepted a position at the Livonia Transmission Plant where she eventually retired from.

Judith gave birth to a daughter, Lesley Elizabeth in 1971 and raised her as a single working mother, making certain that she was the top priority in her life.  She loved to read and to travel and had likely visited all 50 states and a few countries in Europe.  She shared that love for travel with her daughter and they often traveled together.

She spent the last few years in a retirement community in Florida where she was able to spend more time with her daughter and made several meaningful new friendships.

Judith was predeceased by her parents and 3 of her 4 brothers, Kenneth, Gary and Richard. She is survived by her daughter Lesley and her brother Thomas.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date in Bay City Michigan.
