Judy was born on May 5, 1941, in Rosiere, WI, to the late Edward Wendricks Sr. and Ruby (DeChamps) Wendricks. She graduated from Casco High School as valedictorian of her class and enrolled in the nursing program at Holy Family Memorial Nursing School in Manitowoc. Before leaving Manitowoc she met the love of her life Tom Mix. They married on August 20, 1966. She was constantly working in her nursing career earning her bachelor of science degree June 4, 1967. Her dedication to her profession never ceased as she continued her belief in learning. She moved with her husband to Cincinnati where they lived for 15 years. There she earned her degree as a Master of Science in Nursing on June 12, 1977 as well as a Doctorate of Education on August 25, 1983.
From Cincinnati, she and Tom moved back to Green Bay where Judy became director of the nursing program at NWTC. She remained at NWTC for 16 years until her retirement. After Tom and Judy retired, they built a house in Lady Lake, FL where they spent more and more time over the years. They developed everlasting friendships with people who became a second family to them.
Judy enjoyed gardening, sewing, especially quilting, knitting, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her two sisters, Joyce Fitzgerald, CO, Sandra DeBroux, WI, one sister-in-law and brother-in-law Betty (Cliff) McCoy as well as many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
