Judy Copeland, 81, of Grand Island, Florida, formerly of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, left this world on May 21, 2025. A beloved daughter of John and Erma Heusser, Judy leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and vibrant life.
Judy devoted her entire life to caring for others, working tirelessly as a waitress and bartender, pouring her heart into every shift. Her spirited personality, fierce will, and boundless energy lit up every space she entered—she was cherished by all whose lives she touched, bringing warmth, joy, and an undeniable spark of happiness wherever she went.
An adventurous soul, Judy's love for exploration knew no bounds. She traveled extensively across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe, embracing every new experience with enthusiasm. She cherished her cruises and family vacations, creating treasured memories that she held close to her heart. Her talent for hosting unforgettable backyard parties was legendary—she had a gift for turning moments into lifelong memories with friends and loved ones.
Judy's vibrant spirit—her unwavering strength, fearless attitude, and zest for life—defined her essence. She was a shining example of resilience and joy, active in her community through numerous bowling leagues and state tournaments, always showing her fiery determination and love for life.
She is survived by her beloved children, Angela (Salvador) Rubio, Steven Copeland (Terri), and Joleen Hoskins (Roy); her cherished grandchildren, Timothy Allen, Max Copeland, Tighe Copeland, Nikki Hahn, Holly Amos, Travis Hahn, and Alexander Hoskins; and her six great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
Judy was preceded in death by her dear daughter, Kayleen Copeland, and her grandson, Chaz Copeland—a loss felt deeply by Judy, and all who knew and loved her as well.
In honor of Judy's vibrant spirit, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory, helping others facing the fight she so courageously faced.
