Obituary

Judy Pennock passed away on October 18, 2026 in Fort Myers, Florida. Born on July 5, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the "middle" daughter of Sid and Sylvia Skversky.

A proud graduate of Germantown High School in Philadelphia, Judy married her husband, Irving, on March 24, 1963, beginning a partnership that spanned over six decades.

Judy is survived by her younger sister, Linda. Her legacy continues through her children, grandchildren, and niece. Son Jeffrey and his daughter, Serena. Son Richard, his wife Josie, and their children, Emory and Reed. Niece Jessica, her husband Mark, and their daughter, Sydney.

Judy was passionate about her creative talents, from painting graphic murals on her sons' childhood bedroom walls to needlepointing gifts for friends and crocheting handmade blankets for her grandchildren. Throughout her professional life, she made a lasting impact on everyone she met, taking immense pride in her meaningful work with special needs children in both the Philadelphia and Cherry Hill school districts. Above all, Judy was a unwavering supporter of those around her, consistently seeing the very best in everyone she encountered and lifting them up with her unfailing kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Judy’s memory to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
