June J. Joy, 88, of Fort Myers, FL  passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Detzel. Born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Axel and Julia (Swaney) Jorgensen. Mrs. Detzel worked as a surgical sterilization technician before retiring. She enjoyed gardening and crafts. She leaves one daughter, June (John) King, of Coppell, Texas, two sons, Jon (Annette) Detzel, of Ft. Myers, FL, and James (Brandy) Detzel, of Alva, FL, two brothers, Joseph Jorgensen of St. Louis, MO and Tim Jorgensen of Baton Rouge, LA., 24 Grandchildren, 58 Great-grandchildren, 22 Great-Great Grandchildren. She also leaves numerous nephews and nieces and was loved by many. She was the mother of the late Juanita Thomas, Elaine Simonsen, Thomas Foster, Charles Foster and Joseph "Mike" Detzel. Family services will be private.
