They spent many years there alternating between a house and living full-time in their motor home traveling the United States. June lost her beloved husband in 2015, and in 2019, she returned to Maryland and made her home in Timonium.

June had many interests and enjoyed staying active throughout her life. She loved singing in church choir, playing handbells and piano, crocheting, cross-stitching, helping with the church quilting group, golfing, water aerobics, reading, and working on jigsaw and word-search puzzles.

June is survived by her daughters, Catherine Zizwarek and Patricia Gardner; her son-in-law, John Zizwarek; her granddaughter, Lauren Thornton, and Lauren’s husband, William Thornton; and her great-granddaughters, Evelyn Louise Thornton and Colette Deborah Thornton.
