Justin Michael Thomas Shrawder of Stillwater, MN died unexpectedly due to complications of COVID-19 on September 16, 2021 in Cape Coral, FL at the age of 48.

Justin was born in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and spent parts of his childhood in Germany, Sacramento, CA, Anchorage, AK, and Champaign, IL. He graduated from Champaign High School in 1992 and spent some time working in Germany before moving to Winter Park, CO where he would work during the winter and travel in the summer. He made his way to Naples, FL and met his wife Kirsten on a catamaran he was working on that traveled between Fort Myers Beach, FL and Key West, FL in 1996. They celebrated their wedding day at Sanibel Island, FL on May 9, 1998 surrounded by family and friends.

Justin was always interested in and had a keen aptitude for technology. He spent the majority of his career working and acquiring several specialty certifications in different facets of the IT and custom electronic design and installation industries in multiple locales including NYC, Naples, FL, San Diego, CA and Calgary, AB. He always excitedly kept up his knowledge of the latest and greatest technology gadgets and systems. A real family man, his children were his pride and joy and he also enjoyed the years he spent as a stay-at-home dad. Kids in general usually took a quick liking to Justin because of his big, kind heart and sense of humor. He loved the water and was always happiest when he could spend time on any kind of boat. Anyone who knew him, knew how much he loved to talk and loved to eat, so he could always be counted on to be up for a party, and he had many friends in all of the different areas he lived in. Though not a member of a particular church at the time of his death, he held a strong personal faith in Christ and was very passionate about his convictions.

Justin is survived by his wife Kirsten and their four children; Jeremy, Jadon, Brienna, and Brooke Shrawder, his parents Penny and Jack Shrawder of South Lake Tahoe, CA, birth father Michael Thomas and partner Carol Bell of Layton, UT, mother-in-law Joan Stifora of Winnipeg, MB, sister-in-law Jodi (Damien) Fernandes, niece Marley Fernandes and nephew Emmett Fernandes of Winnipeg, MB, close long time friends Tom Hardig of Burbank, CA and Donny (Erin) Binek of Anchorage, AK, and countless friends and extended family members all over North America.

Because of the current pandemic climate, no services are planned at this time. A video tribute to his life will be shared virtually in the coming weeks.
