Karen Kuehl, 68, of New Smyrna Beach, FL died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Florida Hospital in Daytona Beach, FL.  She was born March 10, 1948 in Berwyn, IL the daughter of David and Eleanor (nee Johnson) Erickson.  She worked as an Administrator in the educational profession and in sales. She came to Florida in 1996 from Fairfax, VA and attended the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Balsanek in 2015.  She is survived by her husband, Frederick Kuehl of the home in New Smyrna Beach, FL; by daughter, AnneMarie Rector of Wentzville, MO; son, Eric Kuehl of Hawthorne Woods, IL; son, Jason Kuehl of Lake Zurich, IL;  and by daughter, Amanda McCready of Tokyo, Japan.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.  Services are private.
