Karen McGaughey, born October 21, 1948, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026.

Karen lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and selflessness. Her infectious laughter and genuine personality touched the lives of many. Her warmth and loving spirit were the cornerstones of her life, radiating to everyone she met. She had an unyielding capacity for love and care, and she was a constant source of encouragement and joy to those around her.

Karen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a champion for the success of others. She found great joy in supporting, celebrating, and loving all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will continue to inspire her family and friends through the bonds of unwavering love they shared.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Harold; her son, Eric (partner Lisa Kapellas); and her daughter, Kelly (fiancé Wyman Lee). She is also survived by her brothers, Craig Meredith (wife Linda) and Russell Meredith (wife Judy). Karen was the cherished daughter of Lois (Macleod) and Russell Meredith before their passing.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Wilson, who remained forever in her heart.

Visitation for Karen will take place on April 23 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a service following on April 24 at 10:00 a.m., both held at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home.
