Obituary

Karl W. Campbell, 73 of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026.

Karl was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia on September 5, 1952, to James H. Campbell and Frances E. Treadway Campbell. Karl is preceded in death by his parents and his older brothers Douglas and James.

Karl was a highly skilled master diesel mechanic, dedicating the majority of his career to working for Ocala Florida Detroit Diesel Allison. He took great pride in his trade, carrying himself with a strong work ethic. He spent many years at Dunnellon Little League selflessly coaching and umpiring baseball and softball. He was a member of the Ocala Sportsman Association where he loved to go shooting. He was an avid hunter where he enjoyed trips to Camp Authur in Neola, West Virginia, his family cabin. He took many trips to the family camp on his Harley Davidson motorcycle as well as local cruising. He was a die-hard Florida Gators fan: “GO GATORS”!

Karl is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Anna Campbell of Ocala, Florida, Aaron Campbell, son, of New Port Richey, Florida, Daughter Breana Turak, of Ocala, Florida, and Fred Campbell, Brother, of Brandon, Florida. He is also survived by his three grandchildren.

Karl’s ashes will be spread in the mountains of West Virginia surrounded by his loving family.
