IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karla Kay
Schneider
November 30, 1963 – January 25, 2026
Karla Kay Schneider 62, of Cape Coral Florida, passed away on January 25, 2026 in Cape Coral, Florida.
Karla was born in Karachi, Pakistan to the late Francis and Maria Schneider on November 30, 1963. Born with severe medical issues, she was not expected to live a week (but she did). Then the prognosis was a few months, which turned into several years. She survived. They called her a miracle baby. Her life was a miracle, but not easy. She endured many medical procedures and operations during her childhood, but she persevered, and went on to graduate from Fort Myers High School in 1983.
Karla was a huge fan of John Denver. She loved doing puzzles, and playing board games, particularly Scrabble, which she excelled at. She was consistently lucky at the game of dice, so much so that the family joked about bringing her to the dog track for good luck. Karla loved the outdoors and yearly camping trips during the summers. She loved seeing new places and meeting new people. Not a shy person, she had a smile and a hug for anyone, anywhere. Karla also enjoyed her time at the Harry Chapin Food Bank where she volunteered her time two days a week for several years. As a good Christian, she wanted to help people any way she could. Raised Catholic, Karla loved going to church. It was the highlight of her week. She was a sweet innocent soul who loved God with her whole heart.
Karla is survived by her sister Sue Roland (Ray), brother Ted (Nola), and sister Marita. She was the loving aunt of Nick Roulston (Beth), Jessica Roulston, Elaine Entenza, Kristin DiIorio (Christian), and several great-nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her friend and companion, Kim Goins. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 13031 Palm Beach Blvd Fort Myers on Saturday, February 21st at 10:30 a.m.
