IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen Jean
Crabb Chesley
October 24, 1946 – November 22, 2024
Kathleen Jean Crabb Chesley, a devoted mother, grandmother, and healthcare professional, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024. Born on October 24, 1946, in Poughkeepsie, NY, Kathleen dedicated her life to caring for others and creating meaningful connections with everyone she met.
Kathleen spent over 40 years working in the healthcare industry. She earned an associate degree in nursing from Genesee Community College in the mid-1980s and went on to work as a registered nurse. Her career later transitioned into home healthcare, where she provided compassionate support to patients until her retirement three months before her passing.
A lifelong lover of books, Kathleen was a prolific reader and found joy in collecting Precious Moments figurines and all things related to pigs. She was also an admirer of the Kennedy family and took great pleasure in learning about their legacy. She would be pleased by the fact that she passed away on November 22nd. Kathleen will be remembered for her warm heart and her commitment to helping those who couldn't help themselves, especially during their final days.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Charles, Thomas, and Jean; her grandchildren Cody, Sadie, Liam, Samantha, and Adam; and her great-grandchild Isabella. She is also survived by her siblings Margaret Falsey, Mary Lou Mills, Elizabeth Thayer, Paul Crabb, and Christopher Crabb, as well as 11 nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, DeWayne and Adele Murphy Crabb, and her little sister Linda Crabb, who sadly passed away the day after she was born.
Kathleen's family and friends will forever cherish her memory as a kind-hearted, loving woman who made a lasting impact on the lives she touched.
