In Loving Memory of My Mother, Kathleen D. Hallett

My mom, Kathleen D. Hallett, 71, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on August 29th, at 6:20pm, surrounded by the people who loved her most, her family and best friends, after a brief battle with cancer.

Mom was born in Geneva, Ohio, to Phyllis Cireci and Arthur Dean, Sr. She spent her life caring for others, both as a long time LPN and simply as the person she was. Taking care of people came naturally to her. She had a huge heart that always seemed to make room for someone else. She was affectionally known simply as "Nana" to so many people that loved her.

My mom didn't need much to be happy. She loved the little things in life; the simple moments, being with the people she loved, and spending time in the sunshine working in her yard. Those ordinary moments are the ones I will miss the most.

She leaves behind her daughter Michelle Lyle (Scott Travers); and her granddaughter Alexandrea Smith and her future husband, Dakota Hunt. She is also survived by her sisters: Cindy Eckstein (John), Cheryl Hamilton (Joe), and Janet Sellers (David); and her brothers, Eric Bell (Barbara), Arthur Dean, Jr (Bryon Kunert), and Charles Dean, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis and Arthur, her husband Duane and brothers, John and David Dean. Her granddaughters, Arin and Ashley Parsley will be patiently waiting for her in Heaven with open arms.

There are no words that can truly describe what it feels like to lose my mom. I am grateful for every moment I had with her, every memory we made, and every little piece of her that she left behind in me.

Mom, you spent your life taking care of everyone else. Now it is time for you to rest.

I hope you knew how deeply you were loved and how much you meant to me and to everyone whose life you touched. I will miss your presence, your love, and all the little things that made you my Mom.

You fought a brave fight, and you were surrounded by love until the very end.
