Kathleen Murphy Reilly, 82, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 30, 2026, in DeLand, Florida. She was a longtime resident of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

Born on October 27, 1943, to Henry and Bernice Murphy, Kathy grew up in West Frankfort, Illinois, and later moved to Florida as a teenager, where she built a full and vibrant life.

 Kathy dedicated 32 years of her life to caring for others as a nurse, a profession that reflected her compassion and strength. A three-time cancer survivor, she faced life’s challenges with remarkable courage and unwavering faith, inspiring all who knew her.

She found joy in cycling, spending time at the beach, and traveling the world. Above all, she cherished time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and happiness.

A faithful and devoted Christian, Kathy lived her beliefs through kindness, generosity, and love for others. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Henry Hardy, Patricia Tierney, Ray Hardy, and Jeff Reilly; her grandchildren, Cheyanne Parsons, Jessica Hardy, Katie Hardy and Hannah Coker; and her great-grandchildren, Brayden Coker, Elizabeth Coker, Sam Parsons, Jesse Parsons, and Erin Parsons.

Kathy will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
