Kathleen Ann Schmidt 69, of The Villages, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at her home on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Born on March 24, 1951 to Michael and Sophia Sind in St Louis, Missouri. She grew up with her brother Robert Sind. Kathleen met the love of her life Wayne Schmidt and the two were married in April of 1981. They had three sons, Matthew, Brett, Jared.

The family moved to Florida in June of 2009. Kathleen was an active member of the St Louis Club, Naperville Club, The VIP Club and a cofounder of the Special Friends Social Club. Kathleen worked as a pediatric nurse for 40 years, and then the Village's Hibiscus Recreation Center as a Recreation Assistant.

For Kathleen, her sons and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved spending time with them and sitting by pool enjoying the sunny days of Florida.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Sophia Sind.

She is Survived by her husband Wayne Schmidt, sons Matthew (Dorothy), Brett (Courtney), and Jared, Grandchildren Maddon and Charlotte.
