Kathryn "Kathy" Troutner, age 93 of New Smryna Beach passed away April 4, 2023, at Adult Family Care Home in NSB. Mrs. Troutner was born in New Bethlehem, PA on February 19, 1930 and has been a resident of Florida since 1962. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband Joseph of 63 years, son Robert Troutner and grandson Kevin Meares. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Nancy Meares (Gary) and Jamie Troutner, sisters Liz Hamlett, Daytona Beach, Dorothy Leucht (Dick) of Edgewater, Jane Morgan (Mike) of Port Orange and Carol Lewellyn (Chuck) of New Smyrna Beach. For many years she worked for Dr. Darby which at that time only had 3 doctors in New Smyrna Beach. She also worked alongside her husband as owners of Edgewater Hardware and Edgewater Electric until retirement. Kathryn devoted her life to raising, loving and supporting her 3 children, spoiling 3 grandchildren, Kevin Meares, Kristin Meares and Rachel Troutner and 1 great grandson, Bryce Herholz. Kathy's family would like to thank Tess Collins for all she has done to provide care and comfort. We also acknowledge Halifax Hospice Care for all the support given to Kathy. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday April 11, 2023, from 11:00- 1:00 PM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in New Smyrna Beach followed by burial at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens at 2PM. All are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations to Halifax Hospice will be greatly appreciated.
