Kathy Joanne Russell (66) of Dedham, Maine and The Villages, Florida entered into the arms of Jesus after a brief illness, with her loving husband by her side, on January 29, 2026, at UF Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Florida.

She was born on March 14, 1959, in Baraboo, Wisconsin to Harold and Lucille Fischer. She was a successful business owner, first with her own independent daycare and later supporting her husband daily with Russell Resources Inc.

Kathy was full of life and enjoyed time with her family more than anything else. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren, whether adventuring on Phillips Lake, playing music, cooking, shopping or making crafts. Kathy brought joy and laughter into every room and always had a smile on her face. She chose to see the good in every situation and was a constant source of encouragement to anyone in her path.

Kathy served faithfully for over 30 years playing keyboard, at Calvary Chapel Bangor. She loved serving Jesus in that capacity and truly worshipped Him on and off the stage.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Lucille. She is survived by her husband of 33 years James, son, Jeremy (Claire), daughter, Aundra (Travis), bonus children Melissa, Christy (Ernesto), Erica, Paul (Kristin) and grandchildren Connor, Logan, Asia, Kylie, Niko, Hailey, Elijah, Maliyah, Landon, Cullen, Mitchell, James, Coleson and Alexander. Kathy is also survived by her siblings, Lorene (Dale), Raymond, Judy and Marilyn, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on Saturday, February 14th at 10:00 am, at Calvary Chapel Bangor, 154 River Road, Orrington Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Lupus Foundation of America or Great Commission Ministries Co.
