IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kay A.
Reimer
November 17, 1942 – December 30, 2024
Kay Annette Bagley Reimer, 82, a favorite of both dogs and people, died Dec. 30 in Orlando, Fla.
Kay was born on Nov. 17, 1942, in Wheaton, IL. She spent more than 30 years in Pittsburgh, Pa., where she bred, raised and showed Great Danes. Dogs were her life's passion.
Kay had a knack for bringing out the best in animals. Right up to her death, she worked regularly at Preppy Pet, a boarding and doggy daycare business in Orlando. "I had to call so many of her clients because she was one of those dog people who everyone loved," her daughter Meg Treat said.
Kay's family characterized her as a "stubborn redhead." "When she got her mind made up, that was that," her family said.
Kay faced a variety of heath challenges. "She died from conditions that should have killed her years ago. She never let her medical condition dictate how she lived her life," Meg said.
Besides her daughter Meg Ann Treat (Robert), Kay is survived by her son Charles Daniel III; and three grandchildren, Charles Daniel IV, Nicholas and Christopher.
She is also survived by her friend Dan Gore, owner of Preppy Pet, who was like a son to her.
Kay will be exceptionally missed by her Goldendoodle Sammie.
She requested that there be no memorial services. In lieu of flowers, the family seeks donations in her memory to:
