Obituary

Kelly (Ferguson) Hudson, age 61, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Kelly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness, warmth, and unwavering love touched countless lives. Known for her generous spirit and welcoming nature, she had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel at home. Family, friendship, and hospitality were the hallmarks of her life.

Kelly enjoyed a successful career in workers' compensation, where she earned the respect and admiration of colleagues through her professionalism, dedication, and expertise.

While her professional accomplishments were significant, Kelly was perhaps best known for her extraordinary talents as a hostess. Her home was a gathering place where no one was ever a stranger and everyone left feeling like family. Kelly's legendary Halloween parties became cherished traditions among family and friends. Spanning two nights and welcoming hundreds of guests, these celebrations reflected her creativity, generosity, and joy in bringing people together. She loved cooking for friends and family and was happiest when sharing a meal around her table. Her kitchen door was always open, and visitors could count on being greeted with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and lively conversation. Kelly also found great joy devoting herself to caring for her beloved farm animals.

Kelly is survived by her beloved husband, Tim Hudson; her sons, Lee Hudson, Jack Hudson, and Will Hudson; her daughter-in-law, Marissa Hudson; and her treasured granddaughter, Eloise Hudson, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her loving mother, Rebecca Ferguson; her brother, John Ferguson, and sister-in-law, Kelly (Powers) Ferguson; and her sister, Amy (Ferguson) Carbajal. She leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, neighbors, and colleagues who will forever cherish her memory, especially her life-long best friends Janice and Bob Legters.

Though Kelly's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her, her legacy of compassion, generosity, laughter, and devotion to family and friendship will continue to inspire all who knew her. The countless memories created around her table, at her celebrations, and in her home will remain a lasting testament to a life beautifully lived.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Kelly's love, warmth, and spirit will remain with them always.

Memorial service arrangements and details for celebrating Kelly's life will be announced by the family at a later date.
