Obituary

Kenneth J. Wiltshire. Palm Bay, FL -- LCDR Kenneth J. Wiltshire, USN (Ret.) died on April 21st, 2026. Born in 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a resident of Palm Bay, FL. Ken received a BSEE from the University of Mississippi in 1965, and an MSEd from Old Dominion University in 1980. He entered the Navy in 1954, and served in the submarines GRAMPUS, SKATE, TANG, GUDGEON and SEADRAGON, and the destroyer DEWEY. After retiring from the Navy in 1975, he taught in the York County and the Virginia Beach City School Systems until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the MOAA, FRA Branch 166, USSVI Hampton Roads & Snug Harbor Bases, VFW Post 4206, American Legion Post 117, the Lynnhaven Sports Club and the Reef Society. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Marie Wiltshire, his sister Elaine Mervis and his son Gary Wiltshire. Survivors include his wife Victoria Wiltshire (nee Reid), daughters Loraine Mara and Dawn Rudelt of Virginia Beach, son Douglas Wiltshire (Pam) of Huntsville, AL, stepdaughters Chelsea Broome and Sarah Astin, sixteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Burial at sea will take place at a later date. Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society in Titusville, FL is in charge of arrangements.
