Kenneth Robert Zeitler was born on August 14th, 1951 in East Meadow, NY. Ken was a lifelong Flyer and member of the Chaminade High School Class of 1969. Ken graduated from Northeastern University and shortly thereafter began a career in insurance sales, from which he retired in 2013.

Always the life of the party, Ken will be fondly remembered for many fun times with friends and his family. He loved his boat, "the reel deel", and loved to fish during his prime. Ken was an avid joker, midnight toker and a die hard NY Mets and Giants fan.

He retired to Florida in 2013 and immediately jumped into retirement paradise.

Despite spending much of his final years in and out of the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor or fighting spirit. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.

Most of all, Ken loved his children with every fiber of his being and was extremely proud of their success and happiness. They were, and always will be, his greatest source of pride, joy, and forgiveness. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Kenneth James and Kathleen Zeitler, and brother Richard Howard Zeitler.

He is survived by son Kenneth D Zeitler of Charlotte NC, daughter Lauren Newhouse of Alexandria VA, sister Gail and Jack Aiken of Glens Falls NY, and beloved granddaughter Olivia Jane Zeitler.

During his last moments on earth he was surrounded by family and rode strong into heaven with his son and granddaughter by his side.
