Kennith was born at home outside of Georgetown, Texas on March 3, 1944.

He was the third of four children of Noble and Nettie Murphy (nee Hill).

Ken served in the US Navy from November 1962 to June 1966 as Petty Officer 2nd class aboard the USS Ticonderoga.

After his service in the Navy, Ken worked for IBM for 30 years, retiring in

1996. He then began a second career as an aircraft mechanic - retiring again in 2010.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Faye; son, Hac, daughter-in-law Kelli, and granddaughter Jane; daughter Krystol. Also, his brother Clint Murphy.
