Kevin Boyd
Flynn
Dec 19, 1963 — Aug 29, 2026
Daytona Beach, FL
Kevin Boyd Flynn, 62, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on August 29, 2026 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on December 19, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Errol Spencer Flynn and Martha Charline Flynn.
Kevin was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent his entire career in construction, most recently as a project manager for Paul Culver Construction Inc. in Daytona Beach. He was passionate about his work and took great pride in what he built and accomplished throughout his career. But above all else, Kevin’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He loved deeply and was happiest surrounded by those he loved.
Kevin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Sonja Flynn; his daughter, Taylor Flynn Mosbarger, and her husband, Zach Mosbarger; and his grandchildren, Collins Ann Mosbarger and Thomas Flynn Mosbarger.
Kevin is also survived by his niece, Morgan Rogers, her husband, Jeff Rogers, and their daughter, Magnolia Jay Rogers; his brother, Derek Flynn; and his nephews, Phillip and Michael Flynn.
Through his marriage to Sonja, Kevin was also a cherished part of the lives of her children, Philip Jolly and his wife, Elizabeth, Steven Jolly, and Michael Jolly, and grandchildren, Philip III, Kai, and Neri.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Errol Spencer Flynn and Martha Charline Flynn; his brother, John William Rodgers Jr., “Jay-Bird”; and his great-nephew, Johnny Reed Rogers, son of Morgan and Jeff Rogers.
Kevin will be remembered for his magnetic personality, remarkable intellect, and extraordinary generosity. He had a presence that was unmistakable and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His faith was an important part of his life and helped shape the values he carried with him. He believed in working hard, taking care of your people, telling a good story, and always making room for family and friends.
He was a friend to many and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Kevin leaves behind a lasting legacy in the people he loved, the work he was proud of, and the many lives he touched. His stories will be told, his kindness remembered, and his presence deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
