Kevin Mose Hart, 65, of Homosassa, FL, passed away with his family by his side, on March 29, 2026. Kevin was born in Keene Valley, NY on August 29, 1960, to Mose and Sadie Hart. He attended AuSable Valley Central School until 11th Grade and obtained his GED while enlisted in the U.S. Army. In 1998, Kevin met the love of his life and two years later on November 4, 2000, they married. For the next 25 years they raised a beautiful family!
Kevin proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1980-1983, where he was combat support during Lebanon & Grenada.
When he returned to his hometown of AuSable Forks, New York, he worked for George Moore Trucking until he left for the Correctional Academy in 1986. He dedicated 30 years to New York State Department of Corrections and happily retired in 2016. Shortly after his retirement he moved to Homosassa, the nature coast of Florida. Kevin is survived by the love of his life and Best Friend, Vickie (Fournier) Hart and his four children who he was beyond proud of, Kody Hart (Selina), Brigitte Manor (Joshua), Sadie Hart (Gage Clark), Sophia Berry (Charles). He also has 9 beautiful grandchildren who added to the joy and love he had for his family: Brayden, MaKenna & Mason, Raegan & Ryleigh, Kingslee & Levi, Easton & Wesley. Kevin is also survived by his siblings Sandy Coyer, Patricia Raymond (Gerry), Sherry White (Dan), Sheila Ford, Dale Hart (Pamela), Michelle Gareau (Edward), Timothy Hart (Judith) as well as in laws Maggie Pope (Jerry Marking), Michelle (Jody) Perkins, Wendy Connell, Walt (Jody) Fournier and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents and four brothers Ralph, Wilcot, Eric and Gerald Hart, his in laws Walter and Linda Fournier and Mark Pope.
The family wants to give their upmost gratitude to the ICU Staff at the Tampa General Hospitals- Main and Crystal River Campuses, and the ICU Staff and the Select Specialty Hospital, FL.
