Kim Tickner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in New Jersey and raised in Haddonfield, Kim lived a life defined by love, generosity, and the quiet power of making others feel truly seen.
She met her husband Will at Cherry Hill East High School, and they married in 1975, beginning a partnership that spanned 50 years. Kim adored Will with a quiet, unwavering devotion. Their marriage was built on laughter, respect, and deep affection—a bond that became the foundation of the home they built together. She loved him completely, and the way she cared for him—through every season of life—was a living example of what love looks like in action. Her love for Will was evident in every meal she cooked, every holiday she made magical, and every quiet moment they shared. Together, they raised two sons, Ryan and Luke, in Moorestown, NJ, where Kim's warmth and devotion filled every corner of their home. Whether it was a hot breakfast before school, a packed lunch, a ride to practice, or cheering from the sidelines, Kim made sure her boys always knew they were loved.
Kim had a gift for making people feel welcome. She opened her heart and her home to anyone who needed a place to belong, often going out of her way to include those who felt on the outside. Her kindness was quiet but powerful—expressed through small gestures that added up to a lifetime of love.
Christmas was Kim's favorite time of year, and she celebrated it with unmatched enthusiasm. Her home sparkled with decorations, and her generosity overflowed in the form of gifts—so many that the family often joked they needed breaks during present-opening marathons. She adored holiday movies, festive music, and hosting Thanksgiving gatherings filled with laughter, food, and family.
Kim loved to cook, and when she cooked, she cooked big. Her meals were abundant, her table always full, and her kitchen a place of comfort and connection. In every season of life, she gave more than she took—whether managing the household, working part-time at a Christmas store, serving as a flight attendant for TWA, or helping at retail shops in her later years. Her final role was at the club shop of a golf course in The Villages, FL, where she and Will lived from 2017 until her passing.
Above all, Kim was proud of her family. She cherished her husband, adored her grandchildren, and took deep joy in the lives her sons built. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the traditions she created, and the example she set—of how to be a spouse, a parent, and a friend.
She is survived by her husband Will, sons Ryan and Luke, her grandchildren, and her siblings Clay and Dana. She will be remembered as loving, giving, and patient—and missed beyond measure.
